Almond Sauce

Almond Sauce

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Almond Sauce #1:

  • 1/4 cup creamy almond butter
  • 3 tbs lime juice (optional)
  • 2 tbs reduced-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tbs honey
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • s cloves of garlic, minced
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1-2 tbs water, as needed

Almond Sauce #2 Ingredients:

  • ½ cup creamy almond butter
  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 3 tbs apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbs honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbs water

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a small food processor and pulse until well blended.
  2. Add in 1-2 tbs water (or more, if needed) to reach a thick but pourable consistency.

Variations & Notes:

  • Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
