Blueberry Smoothies

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

Blueberry + Almond Butter:

  • 1  cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 T almond butter
  • 2 tbs flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Blueberry + Nuts:

  • 1  cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 raw Brazil nuts (no more as they contain selenium and you don’t want to overdo it)
  • 4 raw walnuts
  • 4 oz non-GMO silken tofu
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup of ice cubes

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Blend on high until smooth.  If the smoothie is a little thick, add a little water or milk (whichever you are using).

Variations & Notes:

  • Substitute the blueberries with strawberries for a strawberry smoothie.
