Cashew Queso

Yield: 2 1/2 cups


  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 2-3 tbs nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/3 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp honey


  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a small saucepan and stir over low-medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, until warmed and thickened.
