Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Roasted Brussels Sprouts Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts

  • 3 tbs good olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Roasted Brussels Sprouts Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cut the brown ends off the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow leaves. Cut each sprout in half.
  3. Toss the Brussels sprouts with the olive oil and salt and pepper in a bowl (add other ingredients, depending on variation).
  4. Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Spread out in one layer (be careful not to let them touch as they will steam instead of carmelize).
  6. Roast for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan from time to time to ensure the sprouts roast evenly.
  7. Add flavoring (see Variations)
  8. Serve hot or at room temperature.
