Tortilla Chips

Serves: 4


  • 12 La Favorita yellow corn tortillas
  • 1 tsp salt, divided
  • 1 1/2 tbs olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brush olive oil on each tortilla and stack them on top of each other as you go (this adds olive oil to each side).
  3. Cut the tortillas (while still stacked) in fourths, then cut in fourths again.
  4. Place tortillas on 2 large baking sheets (you may need to place drying racks on top of one to create a second level, and accommodate all tortilla chips).
  5. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp salt over each sheet of tortillas (1 tsp total).
  6. Cook for 7 1/2 minutes.  Turn the baking sheets and cook for 7 1/2 minutes more.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  8. Serve immediately or store in tightly sealed containers for up to 3 days.
