Yield: 3/4-1 cup
Ingredients:
Version 1
- 3/4 cup raw cashews
- 3 tbs nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Version 2:
- 3/4 cup raw cashews
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbs nutritional yeast
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- sea salt to taste
Version 3:
- ½ cup hemp seeds
- ¼ cup nutritional yeast
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp fine sea salt, to taste (I usually add a pinch or two more after tasting).
Directions:
- All all ingredients to a food processor bowl and pulse until the mixture is combined (You don’t need to do this for variation #3 — In this case, all ingredients can be added to a bowl and stirred.)
- Salt to taste.
- Serve on top of pizza, pastas, salads, avocado toast, etc. Use to add flavor and thicken creamy pasta sauces.
